As expected, Motorola has today launched its new Moto X Style smartphone in India. The company was teasing the Moto X Style India launch for quite a few days now and it is now official.

The price of Moto X Style in India is Rs. 29,999 for the 16GB model and Rs. 31,999 for the 32GB model. The pre-order will start on October 14 at Flipkart.com

To remind you, the Moto X Style comes with a 5.7-inch of QuadHD display screen with 515ppi pixel density. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB of Internal storage option. And if that is low for you then you can even add a microSD card slot up to 128GB.

At this price, Moto X Style will be competing with Google’s new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones.

On the imaging front, the Moto X Style features same 21-megapixel camera, just like the Moto X Play. Along with that it has a 5-megapixel camera on the front, which will let you take better selfies. It also supports 4K videos. Moto X Style comes with fast charging support and a 3000 mAH battery inside.

It also features dual-front facing stereo speakers with smart boost feature and is water resistant. It runs Android Lollipop operating system and will be getting the latest AndroidMarshmallow update.

Buy it or not?

Motorola Moto X Style is indeed an amazing smartphone at this price tag. But it still lacks many new features. I mean currently all the new flagship smartphones are featuring a USB Type-C connectivity and fingerprint reader, but Moto X Style lacks both of these features. So, in simple words, Moto X Style is not future proof. Ya! I know it is a great phone at this price range, but seeing the current status of the market, I think if you are buying a flagship smartphone in 2015 then it should feature a fingerprint reader. (You deserver that)

I don’t know about you, but when I spend lots of my money buying a new flagship smartphone, I usually think about how long it will take me to replace this phone. Is it future proof or it is just ‘fine.’

Don’t always think about the price tag. You still have many other alternatives in the market. So, think twice before making the move.
