Google’s Self-Driving Cars Are Now On California streets

Last month, Google announced that it is planning to bring its self-driving cars on public roads this summer and now they have started testing it. Google’s weird shape self driving cars are now running around the streets of Mountain View, California.
Although these cars have been designed to replace drivers, but as it is under testing phase so right now Google has added drivers behind the wheel for safety reasons. With the travel speed of 25 mph, Google’s driver-less cars will include “a removable steering wheel, accelerator pedal, and brake pedal that allow them to take over driving if needed.”
When Google released its first accident reports related to its futuristic cars, the company blamed humans for all the accidents in which its cars were damaged. But as we told, the earlier test was not on the public roads. This is the first time when Google is testing its self-driving cars on public roads along with other normal cars. Google plans to create a steering-wheel free self-driving cars, but right now they will include a human driver for the safety.
Google’s old custom Lexus and Toyota Prius self-driving cars are already on the streets for years now and they have now travelled over 1 million miles. The navigation software in Google’s new self-driving cars is the same tech.
Google is also asking local artists to submit their work, which will be featured on the cars. So, get ready to see some amazing paint scheme.
