Just after announcing its monthly security updates for Nexus devices, Google went ahead and published the latest factory images of this update. It is the same Android 5.1.1 Update but with a new build and patches. It fixes the Stagefright vulnerabilities which was revealed last week.
While Google is yet to start the official Over-the-air (OTA) update roll out, but if you can’t wait and want to perform a clean installation, then you can go ahead and download these latest factory images for your Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 (2013) WiFi, Nexus 9 WiFi and LTE, and Nexus 10 devices. Google will now release new Android Update focused on security improvements every month for its Nexus series devices. This is the first update and the next one will be coming next month.
