Microsoft has released a new Windows 10 Mobile Preview Build for the Insider Preview testers. The new Windows 10 Mobile Build 10149, comes just around a week after the release of Windows 10 Mobile Preview Build 10136.
This new Preview Build 10149 brings some major changes to Windows 10 Mobile OS. If you have downloaded it via Windows Insiders program then you might have already noticed the new Microsoft Edge web browser. Formerly popular as “Project Spartan,” this web browser is Microsoft’s new replacement for the Internet Explorer.
As the Edge app comes with a new app ID, so testers will loose their cookies, history, list items and favorites. Apart from the new Edge branding, the update also moves the address bar to the bottom of the screen.
The new preview build also brings several UX improvements and bug fixes. The company has also updated Cortana, along with an updated Photos app and a Flashlight quick option. Similar to Android, this Flashlight quick action button will allow you to easily tun on your phone’s flashlight.
Microsoft has removed the Insider Hub from this new build, but it has announced that it will be coming back in the future Insider Preview builds.
Windows 10 Mobile is expected to be released later this fall. For now, you can test the preview builds as similar to the Windows 10 Operating System by participating in Microsoft’s Insider Preview program.
