Microsoft announces new customizable Xbox Elite Controller


Microsoft has unveiled a new awesome Wireless Controller for Xbox One. No, it isn’t the one which was announced a couple of days back, it is a lot different and unique. Dubbed as Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller, this gamepad allows users to easily customize it. While Xbox boss, Phil Spencer is calling it “an elite controller for the elite gamer,” but you can call it Project Ara for Gaming Industry.

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller comes with four interchangeable paddles, Hair Trigger Locks, removable buttons and swappable components. So, for example if you don’t like the thumb stick, you can change it. There is also a stainless steel paddles, which you can remove if you don’t like.


That isn’t all, the Elite Controller comes with a standalone app for Windows 10 and Xbox One. This app will allow users to customize the thumbtack sensitivity and control the levels for top triggers. Microsoft says that these preferences are stored in the cloud and the gamepad can carry around two different user profiles.


The price of Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller is $149.99 and it will be on sale in October.
