How to Install Android 5.0 Lollipop CM12 ROM on Samsung Galaxy Grand


A dual SIM version of the Galaxy Grand was launched by Samsung know as the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082. Both the Android based Smartphones were announced in December 2012 and available to purchase in the first Quarter of the next following year.


It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and there is no news regarding the update of the device. So if you want the newer versions of Android you may try installing custom ROMs like CyanogenMod. We will guide you through the installation of Cyanogen Mod 12 on your Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos, this version of cyanogenmod is based on Android Lollipop.


Before beginning make sure that you have a rooted device and make a backup of your device also switch on the USB Debugging in developers option.

1. Download CM12 ROM (from here) and Google Apps package (from here) and place it in your SD card.

2. Now boot your device into CWM recovery and do a factory reset and wipe cache.

3. After that choose install zip from sd card and install both the packages one by one.


4. Wait for them to install and then reboot your device, First boot will take some time.
