Vodafone on Wednesday announced that it will be rolling out
its 4G services in Kerala by December 2015. The company says Kochi, Kozhikode
and Trivandrum will be the first to get it. The company already revealed that
Mumbai, Kolkata, Kochi, Delhi and Bengaluru will get Vodafone 4G first.
Vodafone is testing 4G services in Kerala after acquiring 4G
(LTE) 1800 MHz spectrum in 5 different circles including Delhi, Mumbai,
Kolkata, Karnataka and Kerala. The company has invested more than Rs. 350
crores in Kerala and plans to invest more in the other parts of India too.
Kerala currently generates 15% data revenues for Vodafone in India, so the
company is excited to offer 4G services in that area.
Along with 4G network, Vodafone is also planning to bring
high speed Fibre connectivity to the rest part of the world.
