As promised, Kodak has finally announced its first Android Smartphone
built by Bullitt Group. Dubbed as Kodak IM5, the phone was unveiled at
CES 2015. Well, we were expecting that as Kodak is camera-centric
company so its phone will also feature some new and impressive camera,
but the IM5 is just like a normal Android Phone. It has a 13-megapixel
camera on the back and a 5-megapixel on the front. Both of which are
normal.
Other details include a 5-inch HD display screen on the front
along with 1.7GHz Octa-Core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of
Internal Storage. The device also includes a 32GB expandable microSD
card slot. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat Operating System, but
the company promises to release the latest Android Lollipop Update later
this year.
Kodak says that this smartphone will offer simple and intuitive user
interface. Which means that everything will be easy to access. So,
whether it is calling, messaging or camera, users will be easily able to
use these features without any problem. Kodak IM5 also features a
unique image management software which will allow you to quickly edit
images and share it with your friends on social media accounts.
The price of Kodak IM5 is $249 and it will be on sale in Europe at the end of Q1, 2015.
